Position Summary:


Lees Marketplace is looking for a personable, loyal, and strong leader to be our Pharmacy Manager at our Mountain Green Location. As the Pharmacy Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operation and success of the pharmacy. The Pharmacy Manager ensures the implementation of company policies, budgets, and operating procedures are being met and maintained while building and developing a relationship and fulfilling the pharmaceutical needs of the community. Lees Marketplace is bringing a variety of clinical opportunities to our pharmacies, such as strep testing, dispensing vaccines, flu shots, UTI testing, and more. As the Pharmacy Manager, you will not only help in the process of dispensing these practices but also train and develop your fellow pharmacists and techs to provide the service as well. Primary Position Duties:

 
  • Takes all steps required to fill prescriptions in compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies and procedures regarding the sale of pharmaceuticals.
  • Assists with and responds in a courteous and professional manner in accordance with guest service guidelines to questions from guests and prescribers in regards to knowledge of prescription and health related products and issues. \
  • Offers advice and professional consultation in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations 
  • Responds to telephone requests from guests, physicians, and vendors that require the expertise of the pharmacist.
  • Maintains CII ordering records, along with CII Monthly audits. 
  • Oversees maintenance of all state and federal record keeping for controlled substances.  
  • Responsible for the financial performance of the pharmacy, including assisting with the budgeting process, monitoring pharmacy reports, having knowledge of direct competition; implementing pharmacy promotions. 
  • Directs and ensures timely implementation of company policies, procedures and programs; enforces professional and operational standards, including compliance with legal regulations. 
  • Ensures that all pharmacy team are up to date on all mandatory training; including but not limited to; Medicare Fraud Waste and Abuse Training, HIPAA Training, and Federal Combat Methamphetamine Training. 
  • Manages the completion of all inventory reports. 
  • Monitors third party profitability by implementing the proper processing of third party plans  
  • Attends company meetings for purposes of training, coordinating plans, and communicating policies and procedures.
  • Actively participates in Clinical Programs (Immunizations, MTM, Health Screenings, etc.) and all other company sponsored programs.
  • Acts as a role model to the pharmacy team; efficiently handles guest complaints; directs pharmacy operations to keep wait times to a minimum.
  • Understands and communicates correct procedures for billing, filling and dispensing products under CMS DMEPOS guidelines. 
  • Is trained, proficient and actively participates in all clinical programs.  
 

Position Requirements:


• Ability to readily adapt to changes in schedule specifications, and work priorities as the business and guest needs demand.
• Ability to cooperate with others and work as part of a team.
• Must complete all required state, federal and company training programs. (i.e. HIPAA, Fraud Waste and Abuse, I-pledge, etc.)

Education or Skills:

 
  • Must have a college degree in Pharmacy (BS or PharmD). 
  • Must hold a valid state license. 
  • Must complete continuing education hours as required by law. 
  • Ability to readily adapt to changes in schedule specifications and work priorities as the business and guest needs demand. 
  • Ability to cooperate with others and work as part of a team. 
  • Must complete all required state, federal and company training programs (ie. HIPAA, Fraud Waste and Abuse, I-pledge, etc.) 
  • Must be trained to provide immunizations and complete CE requirements for Pharmacist Immunizers as dictated by Utah law. 
  • Must hold current CPR certificate
